Triage RN – Part Time Nights

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Deliver expert virtual triage services in a clinical setting.

• Act as a communication bridge between patients and healthcare providers.

• Evaluate presenting issues and primary concerns.

• Utilize evidence-based triage guidelines to determine acuity and offer care advice along with subsequent recommendations.

• Manage incoming phone calls and electronic messages for triage purposes.

• Prioritize and address communications, engaging providers when necessary.

• Create, execute, and revise personalized care plans.

• Pose critical questions to gauge patients’ clinical status.

• Record communications in the electronic medical record system.

• Coordinate patient appointments with providers following established protocols.

• Aid in scheduling appointments within Northwestern Medicine.

• Support the onboarding process for new staff members.

• Contribute to process enhancement initiatives.

• Engage in quality improvement efforts within the department.

• Employ service recovery techniques to address issues and rectify service interruptions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a graduate of an accredited RN program.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in ambulatory care.

• Must possess a Registered Nurse License issued by the State of Illinois.

• Current AHA BLS Provider certification is required.

• BSN is preferred.

• Specialty certification preferred upon eligibility.

• Availability to work on holidays and weekends is necessary.

• Must work three weekend shifts every two weeks (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday).

• Capability to work overnight rotating shifts is essential.

• Part-time commitment of 20 hours per week is required.
