Profee Audit Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct audits of medical records and abstracts for Professional Fee coding.

• Utilize ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, modifiers, and relevant coding references to ensure precise coding assignments.

• Offer clear explanations for any changes identified, including specific documentation references and locations.

• Stay informed about changes in regulations.

• Manage and prioritize multiple cases simultaneously to maintain workflow and facilitate case resolution.

• Deliver education to coders through the auditing process.

• Address consulting and educational requirements concerning coding quality, compliance evaluations, external payer reviews, coding education, interim coding management, and reviews of coding workflow operations.

• Recognize and propose solutions for client issues.

• Comply with AHIMA's ethical standards.

• Make informed judgments regarding complex work functions and decision-making processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years in Professional Fee coding and/or auditing.

• CPC certification is mandatory.

• CPMA certification is preferred.

• Maintain an accuracy rate of 95% or higher.

• Familiarity with Epic, Cerner, and other widely used electronic medical records (EMRs).

• Experience with multiple specialties is preferred.

• Availability during standard business hours is preferred.

• Strong focus on customer service and professionalism.

• Demonstrated flexibility, reliability, eagerness to learn, and commitment to excellence and the profession.

• Excellent organizational, teamwork, and leadership abilities.
