Triage Nurse, RN or LPN

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.

📋 Description

• Facilitate patient care requests via phone for all physicians.

• Act as a resource for staff members.

• Assess all incoming faxes directed to the office.

• Respond to pharmacy inquiries and process medication refill requests.

• Organize physician orders, including those for home health, hospice, and hospital care.

• Manage emergency calls using the designated emergency line.

• Function as a liaison between physicians and external facilities, as well as between physicians and patients.

• Triage patient calls effectively.

• Oversee oral chemotherapy and medication orders.

• Coordinate patient care and ensure proper documentation.

• Execute nursing duties as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• An Associate's degree in Nursing is required.

• RN or LPN license (State of LA or Compact) is mandatory.

• BLS CPR certification is required.

• Prior experience in phone triage is necessary.

• A Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.

• OCN Certification is preferred.

• Experience in oncology is preferred.
