Triage Nurse, RN

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver prompt access to high-quality, compassionate after-hours RN telephone triage care for patients and caregivers associated with hospice and home health partners.

• Communicate with empathy and understanding, particularly when callers are going through challenging situations.

• Evaluate patient needs and offer suitable care instructions.

• Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to coordinate care.

• Record patient care details in the electronic health record (EHR).

• Complete a brief skills assessment if selected.

• Engage in a four-week training program.

• Work two weekend days from Friday to Sunday, 4:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. MST.

• Work two weekdays from Monday to Thursday during the hours of 2:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. MST.

• Take on additional weeknight shifts as required based on availability.

• Operate remotely from home utilizing a personal computer.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess an active RN license in a compact state.

• A minimum of 4 years of clinical nursing experience is required.

• Preferred but not mandatory: experience in home health, palliative care, med-surg, geriatrics, ICU, ER, and/or hospice care.

• Fluency in English is essential.

• Proficiency in using computers and telecommunications equipment.

• Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends.

• Must be able to successfully pass a background check and drug screening for pre-employment assessment.

• Must satisfy California RN Required Prerequisites for RN Examination and Endorsements.

• Must have at least 400 work hours within the last two years.

• Personal computer with an internet connection is required; satellite broadband and mobile hotspots are not allowed.

• Webcam is necessary.

• Operating system: Windows 11 or Mac OS 15 (Sequoia) or newer.

• CPU: 2.5 GHz.
