Triage & Assessment Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Perform thorough technical evaluations of pre-registered applications.

• Analyze the application's identity state, authentication methods, authorization frameworks, and preparedness for ICAM integration.

• Examine application migration questionnaires to identify any incomplete, inaccurate, or inadequate technical information.

• Record any deficiencies found in the questionnaire within the Enablement Tracking Database and suggest Government-Induced Hold status when necessary.

• Conduct gap analyses in relation to Okta IdP and SailPoint IdentityIQ capability requirements.

• Create and uphold application-specific risk registers.

• Define and document self-service, automated, or dedicated white-glove enablement pathways.

• Generate detailed technical pathway documentation for migration engineers and application owners.

• Preserve triage findings, gap analyses, risk registers, and pathway determinations in the Enablement Tracking Database.

• Collaborate with Application Owners and technical representatives to collect information and facilitate discovery sessions.

• Oversee escalation procedures for unresponsive or non-participating application owners.

• Assist in application prioritization, sequencing, pipeline monitoring, and status reporting.

• Enhance triage methodologies, assessment frameworks, questionnaires, and standard operating procedures.

• Contribute to program metrics, reporting outputs, and the Metrics Dashboard.

• Aid in the transition-in, ingestion, organization, and baseline review of the GFI application portfolio.

• Ensure adherence to DoD security requirements, including CUI handling, OPSEC, and cybersecurity certification mandates.

• Stay informed about ICAM capabilities, identity integration standards, and DoD Zero Trust requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• At least 4 years of experience in information technology, including a minimum of 2 years of direct experience in identity and access management, enterprise application evaluation, IT security analysis, or a related area.

• Proven experience in conducting structured technical assessments or gap analyses of enterprise applications or IT systems.

• Knowledge of enterprise identity platforms, authentication protocols, and access management frameworks in a production environment.

• Active Secret clearance.

• Capability to meet requirements for CAC-card issuance and NIPRNet access.

• Annual DoD CyberAwareness training and certification.

• Familiarity with ICAM concepts, including IdP, IGA, SSO, MFA, RBAC, and ABAC.

• Understanding of SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and SCIM.

• Experience in developing and maintaining risk registers.

• Proven ability to create technical documentation, assessment reports, gap analyses, pathway recommendations, and structured tracking-system data.

• Experience in working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Proficiency in data management and tracking tools.

• Understanding of DoD security requirements, including CUI handling, OPSEC, DFARS 252.204-7012, and DoDM 8140.03.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional team.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Teams.

• Ability to obtain and maintain necessary DoD cybersecurity certifications per DoDM 8140.03, such as Security+ for IAT II or equivalent.

• Preferred: Experience with DoD IT programs, federal contracting, Okta, and SailPoint IdentityIQ.
