This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri, +3 more states.
• Assist in evaluating construction plans and specifications to determine fundamental material needs.
• Conduct entry-level quantity takeoffs under supervision and guidance.
• Recognize standard materials and components essential for infrastructure systems.
• Aid in the preparation of scopes and basic bid packages.
• Collaborate with the Pre-Bid team to verify scope details and collect necessary information.
• Communicate with internal team members to clarify fundamental project elements.
• Engage in training on takeoff software, product knowledge, and plan interpretation.
• Work alongside senior estimators to learn best practices, workflows, and company protocols.
• Embrace feedback and coaching to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Strong eagerness to learn and enhance technical skills.

• Basic problem-solving skills.
• Proficient and professional communication abilities.
• Good organizational skills and capability to adhere to established processes.
• Prior experience in bid preparation, sales, or construction within the water/wastewater sector is preferred.
• A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
• Typically requires a BS/BA in a pertinent discipline.
• Proven ability to perform accurate takeoffs from plan sets.
• Experience interacting with contractors or vendors is preferred.
• 0–2 years of experience in construction, engineering, or related areas.
• Familiarity with reading blueprints or construction documents is preferred.
• Previous internship, training, or coursework in construction or engineering is advantageous.
• An associate degree or technical certificate is preferred.
• Coursework in Construction Management, Engineering, or similar fields is beneficial.
