Treasury Payments Operations Analyst – Uganda, Zambia

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Uganda, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Review and facilitate the payment processes for operational and merchant transactions.

• Assist in reconciling commercial trades along with their associated transactional activities.

• Oversee and reconcile withdrawals related to digital assets and cryptocurrencies.

• Ensure the timely and accurate processing of fiat currency payments as requested by the Commercial team.

• Be available to process fiat payments beyond standard working hours.

• Support the Commercial team in managing expectations about the timely processing of payments.

• Provide insights on inefficient payment processes for potential improvement.

• Aid the Treasury function with liquidity management tasks.

• Handle transactional queries with service providers on an ongoing, ad hoc basis.

• Assist with requests for information regarding payment transactions.

• Help with queries and submissions related to travel rule compliance.

• Support digital asset transactions, including their loading and review.

• Collect information from various sources using effective research tools.

• Adapt to a dynamic work environment as needed.

• Continuously enhance templates and standard operating procedures.

• Work collaboratively with the Commercial, Finance, and other essential stakeholders.

• In the first 30 days, get acquainted with the company culture, values, processes, and banking platforms; engage with the Finance and Commercial teams; and tackle any payment-operation issues or bottlenecks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in reviewing and processing payments, demonstrating a keen attention to detail.

• At least 3 years' experience dealing with foreign currencies.

• Knowledge of processing payments in both local and foreign currencies.

• Basic proficiency in Google Sheets.

• Fundamental understanding and knowledge of virtual assets.

• Immediate availability is preferred.
