Operations Manager – Payment

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Monitor essential metrics related to payment and product performance on a daily basis, investigating any deviations and their root causes.

• Evaluate drops in conversion rates across payment systems and product workflows, directing issues to the appropriate teams, and overseeing their resolution.

• Conduct regular reconciliations of balances, settlements, foreign exchange, and processor fees.

• Develop, validate, and implement cost-saving strategies for payment operations.

• Manage project timelines, ensure cross-functional alignment, and deliver final outputs.

• Address operational bottlenecks by negotiating with Engineering, Product, Analytics, and external service providers.

• Detect manual workflows within payment operations and introduce automation solutions.

• Create data-driven presentations and one-page summaries for leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in Excel / Google Sheets, including skills in data modeling, lookup functions, pivot tables, and scenario analysis.

• In-depth knowledge of payment processor performance, authorization rates, conversion funnels, settlements, foreign exchange, and fee structures in a business context.

• Practical experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.

• Hands-on experience in automating routine tasks using SQL, Python, scripts, or low-code/no-code workflow automation tools.

• Capability to distill complex data into clear, structured presentations or one-pagers for stakeholders.

• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.

• Strong sense of accountability and ability to link operational details to business outcomes.

• Proven history of identifying anomalies, assessing financial and operational impacts, proposing solutions, and ensuring follow-through to achieve results.

• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills to address interdepartmental conflicts and align cross-functional teams without direct authority.

• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Clear, precise, and evidence-based communication style.
