Treasury Operations and Reconciliations Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Manage daily settlement and reconciliation activities for SEPA, instant payments, cards, and international transfers.

• Ensure funding of payment channels and operational buffers round the clock.

• Assist in the safe launch of new payment schemes and settlement models.

• Reconcile banks, card schemes, payment processors, and custodians.

• Uphold client-money safeguarding and ensure accurate regulatory and scheme reporting.

• Design fund flows for new products, markets, and partners, covering accounts, postings, safeguarding, reconciliation, and failure management.

• Serve as the escalation point for payment incidents and establish cross-team resolution processes.

• Document operations, eliminate single points of failure, and collaborate with engineering teams to automate manual tasks.

• Work alongside product and engineering teams to streamline money flows prior to product launches.

• Conduct treasury operations autonomously, separate from capital, policy, investment, and trade-execution decisions made by the Head of Treasury.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in treasury operations, payment operations, or reconciliation within an e-money institution, payment institution, or bank.

• Practical knowledge of payment rails like SEPA, SWIFT, and card schemes.

• Experience in transforming manual, person-dependent tasks into documented and automated processes with engineering teams.

• Proven track record in managing money-impacting payment incidents from initial alert to resolution.

• Background in designing or reconstructing money flows for new products or payment rails, including accounts, postings, safeguarding treatment, and reconciliation.

• Understanding of segregation of duties and requirements for audit readiness.

• Capable of explaining complex money flows in a straightforward manner.

• Proficient in English.

• A STEM educational background is a plus.
