Traveling Construction Materials Testing Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Conduct concrete and compaction testing on commercial construction projects.

• Generate daily reports detailing testing procedures and daily activities.

• Accurately document observations and test data in a comprehensive manner.

• Communicate testing outcomes with project leads and site superintendents/foreman.

• Collaborate with project engineers and clients to ensure adherence to client specifications.

• Carry out routine inspections and testing of construction materials in the field.

• Engage in extensive travel to remote project sites across the US.

• Be prepared to work overtime, during weekends, outdoors, and in diverse weather conditions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are essential.

• Must be willing to travel extensively and work at remote project locations throughout the US.

• Open to working long hours and weekends as necessary.

• Previous experience in materials testing is preferred.

• Technical proficiency in electronic field data collection is required.

• Capability to interpret plans and specifications effectively.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Experience with iPads is a plus.

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.

• 1–3 years of experience in construction materials testing is preferred.

• Minimum ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician Grade I certification is required.

• New hires must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening, criminal background check, and motor vehicle report.
