Travel Mobile Phlebotomist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.

📋 Description

• Review the daily itinerary and ensure that necessary supplies and personal protective equipment (PPE) are on hand.

• Travel to patients’ residences within the designated market area.

• Conduct blood draws, check vital signs, measure height and weight, collect urine samples, support Annual Wellness Visits, and deliver other preventive and diagnostic services.

• Utilize advanced phlebotomy techniques to ensure patients' comfort during blood draws.

• Foster a warm, inviting, and professional atmosphere in each patient's home.

• Accurately record patient interactions using Sprinter technology.

• Label, manage, and transport specimens for laboratory drop-off or shipping.

• Navigate through unfamiliar cities, neighborhoods, and patient service areas autonomously.

• Effectively manage time, supplies, and scheduling between patient appointments.

• Expect to travel approximately 75% of the year, with the possibility of spending extended periods away from home.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong phlebotomy skills, including experience with difficult blood draws.

• Patient-facing healthcare experience as a Phlebotomist, Medical Assistant (MA), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN); experience in home healthcare is preferred.

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

• A valid driver’s license and auto insurance are required.

• Availability Monday to Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

• Ability to drive before 7:00 a.m. to ensure timely arrival at the first scheduled patient.

• Willingness and ability to travel approximately 75% of the year.

• Capability to be away from home for extended durations.

• Comfort with driving and navigating independently in unfamiliar areas.

• Proficiency in using Apple iPhones and iPads.

• Ability to meet relevant state-specific certification or licensing standards.

• Capability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.; heavier lifting may be necessary for travel assignments.

• Ability to spend extended periods driving between patient visits.

• Capability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and transport medical supplies and equipment.

• Ability to safely navigate patient home environments, including those with stairs.

• Ability to handle the physical demands associated with frequent travel.
