This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Maintain and ensure the accuracy of current Trauma Registry databases for both inpatient and outpatient trauma patients.
• Assignments are based on patient census data.
• Review data entries to confirm the precision and completeness of Registry records.
• Support the management of daily operations within the trauma registry.
• Collaborate with the Trauma Specialist to gather necessary data for EMS/Trauma Committees.
• Aid in the preparation of reports to facilitate ongoing program planning.
• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• 1-2 years of experience in data abstraction from medical records, ideally in an ED/Trauma environment.
• Preferred experience in data collection utilizing ICD-10 clinical manager codes.
• Proven ability to comprehend medical terminology and to identify and abstract medical data from both paper and electronic medical records.
• Proficient typing skills and computer knowledge, particularly in data entry and retrieval techniques.
• Demonstrated skills in computer and software troubleshooting, including experience with spreadsheets and word processing applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal abilities.
