This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
β’ Conduct brief individual wellness coaching sessions for clinician-referred adult outpatients in California, without engaging in psychotherapy.
β’ Develop personalized wellness routines aligned with clinician directives.
β’ Instruct on safe breathwork, mindfulness, grounding, sleep-support, gentle movement, and skills informed by yoga.
β’ Facilitate approximately 2β4 live virtual wellness skills groups weekly, depending on patient volume.
β’ Complete structured, non-diagnostic wellness intake assessments.
β’ Monitor patient-reported metrics including sleep, stress, mood, and adherence to practice.
β’ Adjust established wellness routines based on patient feedback, tolerance, and objectives.
β’ Assist patients in identifying issues to discuss with their treating psychiatric provider.
β’ Ensure safety, privacy, professional boundaries, and respectful participation within groups.
β’ Document coaching activities, time allocation, patient responses, home practice plans, and relevant issues in the chronic care management platform.
β’ Maintain records of group attendance and adhere to approved templates and workflows.
β’ Communicate any clinical or safety issues to the treating psychiatrist or psychiatric nurse practitioner securely and promptly.
β’ Engage in supervision, training, quality assurance, onboarding, and a three-month probationary period.
β’ Adhere to all approved intervention protocols, including privacy, security, and escalation procedures.
β’ Refrain from diagnosing, providing psychotherapy or crisis counseling, independently assessing risk, advising on medication, or managing emergencies without oversight.
β’ Proficient spoken and written English for effective, warm, professional communication with U.S.-based adult patients.
β’ Formal training and demonstrated experience in mindfulness, breathwork/pranayama, yoga-informed wellness, health coaching, or a related field.
β’ Training in trauma-informed care with the ability to facilitate practices that emphasize choice, consent, pacing, patient autonomy, and emotional safety.
β’ Formal education in health coaching or a recognized coaching certification.
β’ Experience in supporting individuals with anxiety, depression, ADHD, insomnia, stress dysregulation, and/or trauma-related symptoms.
β’ Understanding of the distinctions between wellness coaching, psychotherapy, and medical care.
β’ Excellent active listening, rapport-building, and group facilitation capabilities.
β’ Cultural humility and awareness of the diverse contexts of U.S.-based patients.
β’ Exceptional reliability, punctuality, organization, and professionalism.
β’ Comfort using secure patient portals, video conferencing platforms, structured documentation, and digital workflows.
β’ Ability to complete mandatory practice onboarding and training prior to patient interaction.
β’ Provision of a dedicated encrypted, password-protected device.
β’ Multi-factor authentication for access to practice systems.
β’ A private, quiet, and professional workspace.
β’ Reliable high-speed internet suitable for live video sessions.
β’ Headphones or an audio setup that ensures privacy.
β’ Capacity to utilize only practice-approved HIPAA-compliant systems.
β’ Must agree to confidentiality, privacy, data security, and business associate-related agreements as applicable.
β’ Willingness to accommodate U.S. Pacific Time, including daytime and evening hours.
β’ Flexible scheduling based on patient needs and demand.
β’ Independent contractor status with control over business expenses.
β’ Required practice onboarding and training provided.
β’ Mandatory supervision and quality assurance processes included.
