This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.
• Oversee the execution of all Heart of Georgia Altamaha TIA 2 (2023–2032) transportation initiatives
• Lead weekly coordination meetings with GDOT, consultants, and project stakeholders
• Monitor schedules, milestones, budgets, and deliverables for projects
• Track design and construction projects let by GDOT, identifying risks or potential schedule impacts
• Collaborate with local governments on transportation projects that are locally let
• Create resurfacing bid packages for projects managed by GDOT
• Review and authorize resurfacing bid packages prepared by local authorities
• Examine and approve invoices from consultants and local governments
• Aid in program reporting, budget tracking, and project documentation
• Act as the main point of contact among GDOT, local governments, consultants, and stakeholders
• Facilitate communication and resolution of project-related challenges
• Supervise projects that involve design, construction, maintenance, and resurfacing activities
• Manage project phases from initiation to closeout
• Provide guidance and coordination to technical staff, consultants, and project support teams
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Transportation, or a relevant field, along with 4 years of experience in roadway construction, transportation project management, maintenance, or related areas; or a proven equivalent combination of education and experience
• A valid U.S. Driver’s License is required
• Must successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Records review as a condition of employment
• Experience collaborating with government agencies, consultants, contractors, and local stakeholders
• Strong organizational, communication, and project management abilities
• Preferred experience in GDOT roadway construction, maintenance, or transportation program management
• Experience in managing transportation improvement or capital programs
• Understanding of GDOT project development and delivery processes
• Familiarity with pavement condition evaluation and pavement management programs
• Experience in developing, reviewing, and managing resurfacing bid packages
• Knowledge of transportation funding programs, including TIA projects
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is advantageous
• U.S. employment authorization is required; sponsorship is not available at this time or in the future
