This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.

📋 Description

• Oversee the execution of all transportation projects under the Heart of Georgia Altamaha TIA 2 (2023-2032) initiative.

• Facilitate weekly coordination meetings with GDOT, consultants, and project stakeholders.

• Monitor project timelines, milestones, budgets, and deliverables.

• Track GDOT-let design and construction projects while identifying potential risks and scheduling impacts.

• Collaborate with local governments on transportation projects that are locally managed.

• Prepare resurfacing bid packages for GDOT-let projects.

• Review and authorize resurfacing bid packages from local governments.

• Review and validate invoices from consultants and local governments.

• Assist with program reporting, budget management, and project documentation.

• Act as the main point of contact among GDOT, local governments, consultants, and stakeholders.

• Promote communication and resolve project-related issues.

• Supervise projects related to design, construction, maintenance, and resurfacing activities.

• Manage project delivery from the initiation phase through to completion.

• Provide direction and coordination to technical staff, consultants, and project support teams.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Transportation, or a related discipline, along with 4 years of experience in roadway construction, transportation project management, maintenance, or a similar field; or a proven equivalent combination of education and experience.

• A valid U.S. Driver’s License is mandatory.

• Must successfully complete a Motor Vehicle Records review.

• Experience in coordinating with government agencies, consultants, contractors, and local stakeholders.

• Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.

• Preferred: Experience in GDOT roadway construction, maintenance, or transportation program management.

• Preferred: Experience in managing transportation improvement or capital programs.

• Preferred: Familiarity with GDOT project development and delivery procedures.

• Preferred: Experience in pavement condition assessment and pavement management systems.

• Preferred: Experience in creating, reviewing, and managing resurfacing bid packages.

• Preferred: Knowledge of transportation funding programs, including TIA initiatives.

• A Professional Engineer (PE) license or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an advantage.

• Sponsorship for U.S. employment authorization is currently unavailable and will not be offered in the future.
