Transportation Manager, Network Strategy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Design and sustain transportation network strategies.

• Enhance transportation flows while assessing cross-dock footprints and service regions.

• Develop routing and consolidation strategies aimed at boosting scalability and performance.

• Formulate both short- and long-term capacity plans.

• Identify constraints and model transportation scenarios to support growth and customer expansion.

• Evaluate transportation costs, shipment flows, and performance trends.

• Create business cases and recommendations for executive-level decision-making.

• Define and oversee transportation planning parameters within Manhattan Active TM.

• Establish planning benchmarks.

• Collaborate with IT and Continuous Improvement teams to enhance planning capabilities.

• Work alongside transportation, supply chain, IT, continuous improvement, and operations teams.

• Facilitate scalable and efficient network performance.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business, or a related field.

• At least 8 years of experience in transportation planning, network design, or supply chain strategy.

• Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems, particularly Manhattan Active TM.

• Strong skills in analytical thinking, financial modeling, problem-solving, and decision-making.

• Advanced expertise in Excel and data visualization tools.

• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Experience in designing and optimizing retail consolidation transportation networks.

• Background in supporting supplier-to-retailer distribution networks, including cross-dock operations and final delivery to retailer distribution centers.

• Proficiency in multi-origin, multi-stop transportation planning, freight consolidation, and load optimization.

• Experience in developing network optimization business cases, capacity models, and transportation cost analyses.

• Background in brokerage, managed transportation, retail transportation management, greenfield operations, or large-scale transportation transformations.

• A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to client and customer locations by driving or flying.

• Capability to manage personal expenses for bi-weekly reimbursement with a credit card.
