Transmission Line Principal Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design of designated transmission generation tie lines for Wind, Solar, and Battery Energy Storage initiatives.

• Manage independent transmission line projects from initial concept through to construction and commissioning.

• Collaborate within the Engineering & Construction Group.

• Supervise engineering consultants engaged in line design.

• Establish and influence project requirements and scope in partnership with the Development Group.

• Acquire engineering consulting resources by crafting scopes of work, obtaining bids, assessing proposals, and awarding contracts through the Integrated Supply Chain Group.

• Liaise with project stakeholders to develop and finalize transmission routes.

• Assist with the engineering data and permits necessary for the design and construction of transmission lines.

• Identify, select, and contract geotechnical, surveying, engineering, and construction services.

• Aid the E&C Cost Estimating Team with scope assumptions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil/Structural Engineering.

• At least 7 years of relevant experience in the development, design, engineering, and construction of High Voltage Transmission line projects.

• Technical proficiency to interpret one-line and three-line diagrams, general arrangements, plan and profiles, and other standard deliverables.

• Willingness to travel within North America.

• Capability to operate under United States and relevant export control regulations.
