Senior Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Provides technical leadership within the development team.

• Takes ownership of architecture and design choices for a specified product area or system component.

• Ensures that designs are scalable, maintainable, and consistent with broader system architecture and non-functional requirements.

• Documents significant design decisions and the associated trade-offs.

• Establishes, documents, and refines coding standards and best practices.

• Leads code reviews and initiates corrective measures for recurring quality concerns.

• Mentors junior and mid-level developers through pairing, feedback, and the sharing of knowledge.

• Aids in the onboarding process and creates or contributes to internal educational materials.

• Serves as an escalation point for complex technical challenges, production incidents, and challenging defects.

• Leads or assists in root-cause analysis and preventive measures.

• Represents the development team in solution design discussions alongside the Solutions Architect and Technical Business Analyst.

• Provides technical insights into cross-team initiatives, integration points, and shared platform decisions.

• Delivers intricate features and technical tasks according to approved specifications and acceptance criteria.

• Converts ambiguous requirements into clear, well-defined technical work.

• Leads or participates in estimation sessions and sprint planning.

• Identifies and communicates delivery risks.

• Facilitates retrospectives and promotes continuous improvement in engineering practices, tooling, and standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5-8+ years of professional software development experience, showcasing demonstrated technical leadership within a development team.

• Deep expertise in at least one modern programming language and ecosystem, with a working knowledge across multiple stacks.

• Proven experience in taking ownership of architecture and design decisions for a product area or system component.

• Extensive background in RESTful/event-driven service design, relational and/or NoSQL databases, and best practices for API design.

• Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing strategies, and production support/troubleshooting.

• Demonstrated experience in mentoring junior and mid-level developers and leading code reviews.

• Experience in contributing to or leading technical design discussions with architects, business analysts, and other stakeholders.

• Familiarity with cloud-native architecture (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS, or GCP) and containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Experience integrating with enterprise standards such as HL7/FHIR or ERP systems like SAP.

• Knowledge of distributed systems patterns and messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.

• Understanding of application security standards and practices (e.g., OAuth2, TLS) from an architectural perspective.

• Experience in defining or influencing engineering standards, technical roadmaps, or platform-level decisions.

• Proficient with work-tracking and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or Trello at a team leadership level.

• Exposure to or working knowledge of the healthcare/medical domain is a plus.

• Comfort in utilizing AI-powered tools to boost day-to-day productivity is advantageous.
