This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
β’ Oversee and advance Nexans' Connect operations throughout Eastern Canada, focusing mainly on Quebec and Atlantic Canada, via the electrical distributor channel.
β’ Establish and nurture relationships with distributor branch managers, counter staff, inside sales teams, and local contractors.
β’ Implement the regional sales strategy under the guidance of the Eastern Regional Sales Manager and National Sales Director for Connect.
β’ Discover and pursue new business opportunities with current distributor accounts and potential distribution partners.
β’ Advocate for the complete Connect product line and enhance wallet share within distributor accounts.
β’ Engage with electrical contractors and project influencers to stimulate demand and assist distributor sell-through.
β’ Keep precise records of customer interactions, opportunities, and pipeline status.
β’ Create and present product presentations, quotes, and proposals.
β’ Track competitor activities, pricing trends, and market changes, and report findings accordingly.
β’ Participate in distributor training sessions, trade shows, and product launches.
β’ Work in conjunction with commercial operations on order management and customer issue resolution.
β’ Aid in reporting, territory analysis, business reviews, planning, and forecasting.
β’ Meet and exceed sales targets for Eastern Canada while developing a robust pipeline of distributor and contractor opportunities.
β’ A Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field; a suitable combination of education and experience will also be considered.
β’ 2 to 5 years of experience in sales or customer-facing roles, preferably in the wire and cable, electrical products, or industrial distribution sectors.
β’ Knowledge of the electrical distributor landscape and contractor market in Quebec and Atlantic Canada is a significant advantage.
β’ Proven ability to cultivate relationships and achieve commercial outcomes in a field sales context.
β’ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of effectively engaging with distributor personnel and contractors.
β’ Bilingual proficiency in French and English β both written and spoken β is mandatory.
β’ Self-driven, organized, and capable of independently managing a wide territory with minimal supervision.
β’ Commercially inquisitive with a strong desire to expand market share and foster customer relationships.
β’ Technical skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM systems.
β’ A valid driver's license and readiness to travel extensively throughout Eastern Canada as needed.
β’ Experience in the cable or electrical industry is a plus.
