This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Oversee and cultivate Nexans' Connect business across Eastern Canada, primarily targeting Quebec and Atlantic Canada, in collaboration with the Eastern RSM.
• Establish and nurture relationships with branch managers, counter staff, and inside sales teams at distributors.
• Implement the regional sales strategy for Eastern Canada.
• Identify and seek out new business opportunities within distributor accounts and potential distribution partners.
• Advocate for the entire Connect product range and facilitate growth in share-of-wallet.
• Engage with electrical contractors and project influencers to drive demand and aid distributor sell-through.
• Keep precise records of customer interactions, opportunities, and sales pipeline.
• Prepare and present product demonstrations, quotes, and proposals.
• Track competitor activities, pricing trends, and market changes, and report the findings.
• Take part in distributor training sessions, trade shows, and product launches.
• Work alongside commercial operations to manage orders and resolve customer issues.
• Assist with reporting, territory analysis, and business evaluations.
• Meet sales objectives, expand market presence, build the opportunity pipeline, position Nexans as a preferred supplier, ensure territory coverage, and provide timely reporting.
• A Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or a related area; a comparable mix of education and experience will be considered.
• 2-5 years of experience in sales or customer-facing roles, preferably in wire and cable, electrical products, or industrial distribution.
• Knowledge of the electrical distributor landscape and contractor market in Quebec and Atlantic Canada is a significant advantage.
• Proven capability to foster relationships and achieve commercial results in a field sales setting.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with distributor personnel and contractors.
• Bilingual proficiency in French and English—both written and spoken—is essential for this position due to the focus on Quebec.
• Self-driven, organized, and capable of managing a wide territory independently with minimal oversight.
• Commercially inquisitive, with a strong ambition to increase market share and enhance customer relationships.
• Technical skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM systems.
• A valid driver's license and readiness to travel extensively across Eastern Canada as needed.
• Experience in the cable or electrical industry is an asset.
