Training Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Provide captivating, product-oriented training sessions both virtually and onsite for HealthStream clients and staff.

• Create training programs centered around the learner, utilizing adult learning principles and industry best practices.

• Assess and refresh training materials to ensure they reflect product updates, process modifications, and the needs of learners.

• Monitor training participation, attendance, and gather feedback from customers and internal stakeholders.

• Keep detailed records of customer training activities to guarantee ongoing service quality.

• Work in collaboration with Sales, Implementations, Customer Success, and other internal teams to ensure training aligns with customer expectations and timelines.

• Conduct or assist in product demonstrations and support sales teams as necessary.

• Help onboard new training team members by sharing insights on products, training methods, and facilitation techniques.

• Comply with HealthStream's security policies, procedures, and required training.

• Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred Bachelor’s degree in nursing, education, instructional design, communications, business, biology, healthcare, or a related discipline; equivalent combinations of education and experience may be acceptable.

• Registered Nurse preferred for positions that support clinical solutions; other relevant clinical or healthcare experience may be taken into account.

• Background in software training, customer education, clinical education, instructional design, or a related training position is desired.

• Experience in the healthcare sector, particularly in clinical education or staff development, is advantageous.

• Prior experience with a Learning Management System (LMS) and familiarity with Salesforce or a similar CRM platform is beneficial.

• Understanding of adult learning theory and instructional design principles is essential.

• Must possess or be willing to gain a solid understanding of HealthStream platform and content products from both administrator and end-user perspectives.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Learning Management System (LMS) software is required.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills at a professional level.

• Exceptional presentation and facilitation skills in various settings, including virtual, onsite, one-on-one, and group training.

• Familiarity with Salesforce or a similar CRM platform to prepare and document training activities.

• Instructional design capabilities, including the creation and upkeep of learning materials.

• Technical skills necessary to develop a comprehensive understanding of assigned products and solutions.

• Ability to assess training needs and identify effective learning solutions that align with customer and organizational objectives.

• Capability to work independently and apply critical thinking to plan, execute, and continuously enhance training programs.

• Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships at various levels within customer and internal organizations.

• Competence in effectively conveying information to individual learners and large groups across various formats.

• Skill in collaborating cross-functionally to create and maintain accurate, up-to-date training materials.

• Ability to mentor and support the onboarding and ongoing development of other training team members.

• Flexibility to adapt to changes in products, processes, or strategies in a dynamic, innovative environment.

• Willingness to learn about HealthStream platforms and products and commit to ongoing professional development.

• Willingness to travel 25-60%, including overnight stays as necessary.
