Trainee Risk Control Surveyor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Conduct property and casualty risk control surveys both remotely and on-site.

• Expand additional technical expertise as new opportunities emerge.

• Interact directly with clients to evaluate the management of trade-related risks.

• Negotiate and finalize suitable risk enhancement strategies.

• Create high-quality reports in accordance with established service standards.

• Collaborate with various business units to address broader operational requirements.

• Manage technical referrals as necessary.

• Participate in training initiatives and disseminate best practices within the team.

• Travel throughout the United Kingdom, including occasional overnight stays.

⛳️ Requirements

• A foundational understanding of insurance acquired through current or previous roles in risk control, risk management, brokering, underwriting, engineering, or claims.

• Strong commercial judgment and business insight.

• Highly organized with a keen attention to detail.

• Effective communication skills with underwriters, brokers, and customers at all levels.

• A proactive approach to personal growth and service excellence.

• Capability to evaluate risk and its potential impact on the company while applying suitable loss control measures.

• Exceptional interpersonal abilities.

• Practical mindset when dealing with everyday situations.

• Self-driven and motivated.

• Competent working independently as well as part of a team.

• Relevant insurance qualifications, such as CertCII, DipCII, ACII, FCII, or working towards them.

• A valid and up-to-date UK driving license.

• Responsible use of Artificial Intelligence.
