Trainee Asbestos Analyst/Surveyor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Participate in a rigorous 3-month training program focused on asbestos air monitoring, conducted both on-site and in the office.

• Engage in a six-month training initiative aimed at achieving the P402 surveying qualification.

• Detect and monitor asbestos presence within buildings.

• Assess airborne fiber levels prior to the commencement of work.

• Conduct leak tests during ongoing work activities.

• Perform post-work air testing to ensure areas are safe for reoccupation.

• Communicate health and safety issues to clients and halt work when necessary.

• Compile final reports that include project details and waste documentation for building safety records.

• Document inspection findings and generate reports pending authorization.

• Maintain equipment, ensuring proper calibration, servicing, and record-keeping.

• Uphold cleanliness standards for equipment and the work environment.

• Ensure adherence to established procedures and the quality management system.

• No prior experience required; comprehensive training will be provided.

• Capability to work collaboratively within a team as well as independently.

• Interest in diverse site environments and readiness to travel to various locations.

• Strong attention to detail and enthusiasm for analytical tasks, especially using microscopes.

• Excellent time management and organizational abilities.

• Proficient written and verbal communication skills.

• A valid manual UK driving license is essential.

• Openness to pursuing the P403 qualification.

• Willingness to participate in the P402 surveying qualification training program.
