Certified Epic Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +12 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee and implement all aspects of the software application life cycle for applications that support hospitals and ambulatory clinics.

• Facilitate the design, construction, testing, and deployment of the Epic Electronic Health Record alongside supporting IT systems.

• Install and apply system patches, service packs, and version upgrades.

• Spearhead process improvement initiatives and establish a roadmap for future system advancements.

• Create and uphold system control and application configuration data.

• Direct integrated workgroups that span application and operational teams.

• Conduct thorough analysis of workflows, data collection, reporting details, and technical challenges related to the Epic EHR.

• Explore opportunities for standardization and process enhancements while making informed build decisions.

• Organize, prioritize, and execute system enhancements.

• Ensure that interfaced data aligns with business requirements and maintains data integrity and security.

• Adhere to Epic Gold Stars program requirements and Honor Roll criteria.

• Assess Community Connect needs and their integration into design.

• Engage in governance committees.

• Attain competencies in additional applications, including Data Courier.

• Design and carry out application testing while supporting large-scale testing initiatives.

• Resolve issues, identify root causes, document problems, and escalate matters as necessary.

• Manage systems to guarantee compliance with service level agreements.

• Collaborate with caregivers, vendors, system users, infrastructure teams, and management.

• Assist in user training and mentor Application Analyst Level I staff.

• Provide business and system performance reports.

• Manage small-scale projects and fulfill project management deliverables.

• Create system documentation and draft minor policy and procedure modifications.

• Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours escalation calls.

• Support the organization's vision, mission, values, and principles of continuous improvement.

• Deliver prompt, efficient, and precise customer service and/or patient care.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience may be accepted in place of a Bachelor’s degree.

• Epic certification in one application is required.

• Must undergo Epic certification training if not already certified in the latest version of the Epic EHR product.

• Must pass the Epic certification exam within three months of completing the certification training courses.

• Ability to fulfill St. Charles Health System driving requirements.

• Willingness to travel for business functions, training sessions, meetings, and all St. Charles Health System locations.

• A minimum of four (4) years of paid experience, including at least two (2) years as an Epic Analyst.

• Two years of experience in a healthcare setting, encompassing systems and procedure analysis, project management, system support, or operational experience in business or clinical areas.

• Preferred experience with hospital and ambulatory clinic applications such as 3M, GE, WorkDay, Cerner, Allscripts, or McKesson.

• Capability to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills with customers, peers, vendors, physicians, caregivers, and management.

• Ability to engage with a diverse population and represent SCHS professionally.
