Trading Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Define and oversee the account trading process utilizing Orion, Eclipse, and expertise in securities trading.

• Monitor investment portfolios and current holdings.

• Process trade requests, required minimum distributions, withdrawals, and the investment of new funds.

• Handle client model change requests and generate block trade orders.

• Conduct tax-loss harvesting.

• Maintain cash balances within client accounts.

• Execute trades in accordance with portfolio manager directives and best-execution policies.

• Coordinate efforts with custodians, customer service, and financial advisors.

• Produce daily performance reports.

• Complete quarterly best-execution reports.

• Create trade sheets for new accounts and those with cash additions.

• Support quarterly performance presentations.

• Implement strategic adjustments to portfolios in collaboration with portfolio managers and analysts.

• Ensure that security weightings are consistent with model allocations.

• Utilize pricing methodologies for block trades.

• Collaborate with team members to support portfolio managers and analysts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Series 65 license or Series 7 & Series 63 is highly preferred.

• A bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field is preferred (or equivalent experience through work, training, military service, and/or education).

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in asset management or the financial services industry.

• Experience as a Trader or Trading Assistant focusing on equity, mutual funds, and ETFs.

• Moderate understanding of the securities market and trading fundamentals is required.

• Proficiency in preferred software such as Orion, Eclipse, Bloomberg, Salesforce, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Experience with trading platforms from Schwab and Fidelity is preferred.

• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a keen eye for detail.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• A strong work ethic, self-motivation, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

• Commitment to maintaining high ethical standards and trustworthiness.

• Ability to work collaboratively with portfolio managers and analysts.

• Exceptional organizational and time management skills.

• Familiarity with AI literacy, including creating effective prompts, assessing AI-generated content, and integrating AI tools into daily tasks.

• Willingness to learn new AI applications and understand their use cases and limitations.

• Capability to stand or sit for extended periods, file documents, use the telephone, and navigate computer systems.
