Trade Planning Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Assist in trade planning, governance, and reporting for the organization.

• Aid field sales and agency partners with the administration of the TPM tool.

• Collaborate with field sales and broker teams to ensure spending aligns with budgeted trade rates and adheres to GTM guidelines.

• Deliver regular reporting and strategic guidance to meet trade targets.

• Facilitate the monthly trade reporting process in conjunction with field sales and finance.

• Oversee and manage the TPM tool, ensuring precision and proactively mitigating budget risks.

• Work collaboratively with the Pricing-Promotions Manager to discover opportunities for optimizing ROI across customers, channels, and brands.

• Assist in strategic planning for Eagle’s trade investments through both top-down and bottom-up approaches.

• Create annual trade-spending budgets in partnership with Trade Marketing, Sales, Marketing, and Finance.

• Collaborate with field sales and cross-functional teams to uphold trade strategy, enhance ROI, and eliminate ineffective spending.

• Manage monthly and quarterly trade forecasts alongside sales and finance.

• Support Eagle Foods’ brands and products, including sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, snacks, and convenient meal solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree is required.

• 5+ years of experience in a CPG organization; experience in Finance is preferred but not mandatory.

• In-depth knowledge of Financial and Trade data.

• Exceptional analytical skills.

• Strong understanding of data sources that encompass trade spend reporting.

• Project management skills with the capability to prioritize and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.

• Ability to sit for extended periods at a desk while working on a computer.

• Regular use of a keyboard and mouse for typing and navigating software applications.

• Capability to view a computer screen for prolonged durations.

• Proficient in handling paperwork, including filing, sorting, and organizing.

• Ability to navigate within the office environment to attend meetings, utilize office equipment, or engage with colleagues.

• Occasional lifting of office supplies or paperwork weighing up to 20 pounds.

• Effective communication with colleagues and clients in person, over the phone, or via video conferencing.

• Capacity to perform repetitive tasks such as data entry or document preparation.
