Trade Operations Manager – Remote Germany/Europe

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Manage the complete trade lifecycle on a daily basis, encompassing order execution oversight, reconciliation, and reporting.

• Take ownership of daily reconciliations across various venues, custodians, and wallets.

• Supervise real-time execution and address issues such as bad fills, routing errors, stale quotes, and slippage.

• Develop and sustain operational tools and workflows.

• Maintain the incident runbook and serve as the primary responder for trading discrepancies and venue outages.

• Monitor incidents, determine root causes, and collaborate with engineering to resolve issues.

• Ensure effective monitoring, alerting, and escalation procedures are in place.

• Continuously enhance processes to minimize errors, reduce manual tasks, and alleviate operational bottlenecks.

• Generate operational reports and KPI tracking for the Head of Trading.

• Liaise with exchanges, custodians, and other external operational partners.

• Keep an eye on risk exposures and trading limits, promptly flagging any breaches.

• Execute controls and reporting that support the broader risk and compliance framework.

• Report directly to the Head of Trading.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in trading operations, trade support, middle/back office, or a similar operational role in digital assets or traditional finance.

• Background in proprietary trading, hedge funds, or exchanges is highly advantageous.

• Hands-on approach; capability to independently build and troubleshoot systems.

• Comfortable operating in a lean, non-hierarchical environment without direct reports.

• Strong attention to detail, especially under time constraints.

• Proficient in Excel and SQL.

• Ability to read or write basic scripts for operational automation.

• Composed and quick to respond during incidents.

• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

• Genuine interest in blockchain, cryptocurrency, and DeFi is a significant advantage.
