Strategy & Operations Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of intricate cross-functional challenges from initial framing to execution.

• Create concise one-page cases and recommendations for leadership decisions.

• Propel initiatives across product development, growth strategies, operations, and partnerships.

• Conduct small-scale market pilots to test segments, messaging, and new approaches.

• Determine whether to scale, iterate, or discontinue pilots based on their outcomes.

• Transfer validated initiatives to product teams with well-defined briefs.

• Manage the weekly leadership brief that outlines product-line performance and suggests decisions.

• Lead monthly business-line deep dives that examine funnel performance, experiments, customer insights, and competitor analysis.

• Oversee the quarterly planning cycle and present resource trade-offs to leadership.

• Collaborate directly with the VP of Growth and the founders.

• Transition into ownership of a product line or function within a 12 to 18-month timeframe.

• Report directly to the VP of Growth.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4 to 8 years of experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, or strategy/BizOps at a rapidly growing company.

• Outstanding analytical skills.

• Strong proficiency in modeling.

• Knowledge of SQL or a willingness to learn it swiftly.

• Capability to structure ambiguous problems and generate clear recommendations.

• Readiness to conduct pilots and work independently without relying on delegation.

• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams without formal authority.

• Comfort in having founders review and challenge work on a weekly basis.

• Daily utilization of AI for research, analysis, and production tasks.

• Capacity to work at a fast pace across multiple simultaneous workstreams.

• No prior insurance experience necessary.
