This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.

📋 Description

• Ensure accountability and possess technical expertise for import/export compliance within the designated APAC region.

• Assess import/export and export control procedures to identify opportunities for risk mitigation and cost savings.

• Provide guidance to business units on compliant and cost-efficient solutions as well as current requirements.

• Serve as an escalation point for intricate, non-routine issues and effectively resolve complex challenges.

• Review and deliver management reports regarding import/export operations and export control initiatives.

• Facilitate training on import/export subjects and assist in the implementation of the manual Restricted Party Screening process.

• Build and maintain relationships with government entities and brokers to ensure proper documentation and adherence to regulations.

• Communicate updates regarding relevant laws and regulations.

• Evaluate license and registration applications along with supporting documentation.

• Oversee and monitor Export Control Number assignments and Restricted Party Screening initiatives.

• Offer guidance, delegate tasks, and foster employee growth.

⛳️ Requirements

• A college degree, university degree, or equivalent experience is mandatory.

• A minimum of 5 years of significant relevant experience, including supervisory roles, is required.

• This role may necessitate licensing to comply with export controls or sanctions regulations.

• Accountability for the Global Trade Operations program within the APAC region, primarily covering Singapore, Australia, the Philippines, Japan, and Mongolia, among others.

• Familiarity with pertinent trade regulations and their application to company processes and systems.

• A solid understanding of import/export laws and regulations alongside export control laws related to defense and dual-use products.

• Capability to manage export control registrations, licensing requests, documentation, Export Control Number assignments, and Restricted Party Screening programs.
