This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Prepare, submit, and modify Traffic Management Plans (TMPs) in accordance with NZGTTM, RCA standards, and client/project requirements.
• Develop precise traffic management diagrams and accompanying planning documents.
• Design effective traffic management strategies that take into account site conditions, construction methods, traffic flow, and pedestrian movements.
• Ensure that traffic management strategies prioritize the safety of workers, road users, and the general public.
• Review and revise TMPs as project requirements, methodologies, or site conditions evolve.
• Maintain thorough records of TMPs, including revisions, submissions, and approvals.
• Collaborate closely with Operations teams, Branch Managers, and STMSs to fully understand project needs.
• Provide planning and technical assistance throughout project preparation and execution.
• Integrate site, construction, and operational data into TMP designs.
• Address planning inquiries and support operational teams effectively.
• Identify and escalate complex planning issues that require further technical input.
• Facilitate the successful implementation of approved TMPs.
• Communicate with clients and coordinate Corridor Access Requests (CARs), permits, and related documentation.
• Engage with Road Controlling Authorities, councils, and approval agencies.
• Monitor planning submissions, approvals, and revisions diligently.
• Keep stakeholders informed of planning progress and respond to queries.
• Ensure TMPs adhere to current NZGTTM and pertinent RCA standards.
• Stay updated on traffic management standards and industry practices.
• Enhance planning processes, templates, and documentation.
• Implement safety, quality, and environmental procedures while reporting hazards, incidents, and opportunities for improvement.
• Proven experience in Traffic Management Planning, TMP Design, or a related Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) role.
• Familiarity with the New Zealand Guide to Temporary Traffic Management (NZGTTM).
• Experience in preparing Traffic Management Plans and associated documentation.
• Proven ability in creating traffic management diagrams and practical TTM solutions.
• Proficiency in using RapidPlan or similar traffic management planning software.
• Understanding of Road Controlling Authority requirements and approval protocols.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in technical documentation.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Capability to manage multiple priorities and adhere to deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with Operations teams, STMSs, clients, and external stakeholders.
• Practical knowledge of TMP implementation in roadwork, construction, or traffic management settings.
• Current TTM Planner qualification or actively pursuing one.
• Valid STMS qualification.
• Previous operational traffic management experience.
• Experience working with various Road Controlling Authorities.
• Background in supporting civil construction, infrastructure, roadworks, or similar projects.
• Familiarity with CARs, permits, and traffic management approval processes.
• Full New Zealand Driver Licence.
• 100% remote work under an Independent Contractor Agreement.
• Working hours aligned with New Zealand business hours.
