This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, modify, and create innovative assets for digital platforms, print media, retail, eCommerce, CRM, social networks, packaging, presentations, events, and sales channels.
• Convert approved creative ideas, campaign layouts, and brand standards into refined, production-ready outputs.
• Develop and revise retail marketing materials, which include signage, window displays, point-of-sale materials, menus, merchandising components, promotional content, and in-store communications.
• Generate digital marketing materials, such as website visuals, digital ads, email graphics, social media content, eCommerce imagery, and channel-specific designs.
• Assist wholesale marketing and sales efforts by creating sell sheets, retailer-facing documents, product launch tools, presentations, displays, trade marketing materials, and educational resources for budtenders.
• Adapt master creative assets across various brands, markets, products, retail settings, promotional offers, sizes, channels, and compliance regulations.
• Prepare files that are ready for production, including setting up files, resizing, versioning, preflight checks, prepress processes, managing bleeds, color accuracy, image resolution, print specifications, and final handoff to vendors.
• Assist in packaging development, updates, line extensions, and product launches by providing artwork, mechanical files, labels, dielines, and state-specific variations.
• Ensure consistency in applying brand standards across typography, imagery, layouts, colors, identities, and creative executions.
• Review files for accuracy in copy, pricing, promotional information, product details, dimensions, disclaimers, regulatory language, and production specifications.
• Collaborate with the Creative Services Manager to implement campaign creative, respond to feedback, and uphold quality standards.
• Work in partnership with Brand Marketing, Retail Marketing, CRM, eCommerce, Wholesale, Sales, Operations, Product, Compliance, and other stakeholders.
• Coordinate with printers, fabricators, production vendors, agencies, and freelancers to confirm specifications and address production challenges.
• Oversee multiple projects and deadlines, provide progress updates, identify risks, and escalate inquiries or conflicts.
• Maintain orderly working files, final artwork, templates, logos, photography, packaging files, and creative assets.
• Create and sustain reusable templates and production systems.
• Assist in photography and content production by selecting images, retouching, cropping, color correcting, preparing files, and organizing assets.
• Integrate stakeholder feedback while adhering to brand standards and project requirements.
• Conduct quality-control reviews prior to release.
• Stay updated on design tools, production techniques, platform specifications, retail formats, and cannabis industry regulations.
• Balance creative quality with speed, precision, scalability, and operational necessities.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field is preferred.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in production design, graphic design, marketing design, prepress, or a related creative area.
• A strong portfolio showcasing refined design execution across digital and print media, with experience adapting established creative across various formats and applications.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, with a solid understanding of typography, layout, visual hierarchy, image preparation, and brand systems.
• Experience in preparing production-ready files, including resizing, versioning, preflight checks, prepress processes, managing bleeds, color control, image resolution, packaging mechanicals, and vendor specifications.
• Exceptional attention to detail and proven ability to proofread creative for copy, layout, dimensions, product information, promotional details, and technical accuracy.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills, capable of managing multiple projects, deadlines, versions, and rounds of feedback in a fast-paced setting.
• Experience with consumer-facing brands, preferably in cannabis, CPG, retail, lifestyle, food and beverage, or hospitality, with a preference for packaging, merchandising, multi-brand, or multi-location retail experience.
• Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods.
• Occasional lifting, carrying, or moving materials weighing up to 25 pounds may be necessary.
• Occasional travel to retail locations, photo shoots, events, production vendors, or other Story Cannabis markets may be required.
