This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Conduct title examinations and assess chains of title for various title orders, primarily focusing on residential properties.
• Abstract and evaluate mortgages, liens, judgments, easements, vital records, and plat and map collections.
• Identify property ownership, legal constraints, and ensure the completeness of records.
• Address missing, incomplete, inaccurate, or conflicting information within title documentation.
• Draft initial title commitment documentation in accordance with procedural standards.
• Prepare and assess reports for precision and accuracy.
• Offer underwriting interpretations within set guidelines when applicable.
• Work autonomously on real estate titles of varying degrees of complexity.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• High School diploma or an equivalent qualification.
• Generally requires a minimum of 2 years of directly related experience.
• Experience in Texas title examination.
• State license(s) as required.
• Strong attention to detail and quality orientation.
• Proficient analytical review capabilities.
• Excellent research and investigative skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Customer service-oriented mindset.
• Standard proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Familiarity with company operating systems.
• Knowledge of legal terminology is advantageous.
