Therapist, Med-Psych Management Program

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada.

📋 Description

• Conduct biopsychosocial evaluations, individual therapy sessions, and group therapy.

• Facilitate care coordination across various treatment environments.

• Provide evidence-based individual and group teletherapy utilizing CBT, DBT skills, Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-informed approaches.

• Administer validated clinical assessments during monthly evaluations to assess acuity and monitor progress.

• Adjust treatment plans and engagement frequency dynamically according to member readiness and clinical requirements.

• Collaborate with Care Team Members and Care Extenders to address medical, behavioral, and health-related social needs.

• Perform real-time risk assessments, devise safety plans, and stabilize crises for high-acuity member incidents.

• Complete comprehensive clinical documentation using DAP format.

• Engage in multimodal outreach via video, secure messaging, and digital wellness content.

• Participate in clinical team meetings, maintain population registry data, and monitor panel metrics.

• Involve family members, caregivers, and community organizations when appropriate.

• Ensure clinical documentation is completed within 24 hours in compliance with Medicaid standards.

• Provide patient-centered, culturally competent, and measurement-based care.

• Conduct M3, PHQ-9, and GAD-7 screenings and manage triage intake referrals.

• Inform clients about available resources and community programs, and refer them to other services as necessary.

• Develop, oversee, and revise treatment plans as needed.

• Keep confidential patient records, reports, paperwork, and diagnostic documents secure.

• Submit daily charges for professional services rendered.

• Offer coverage for colleagues’ absences when clinically suitable.

• Mentor and/or assist new therapists as applicable.

• Carry out additional duties as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or another relevant behavioral health discipline from an accredited institution is mandatory.

• A current independent behavioral health license from the Nevada Department of Health (NV DOH) is required.

• Acceptable licenses include Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Clinical Professional Counselor (CPC), and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A minimum of two years of direct experience working with adults in the behavioral health sector is necessary.

• Experience with severe mental illness is essential.

• Familiarity with local resources, social determinants of health, mental health, substance use disorders, interpersonal violence, and social concerns is crucial.

• Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of Medicare or Medicaid practices.

• Capability to train, develop, and mentor team members is expected.

• Ability to cultivate, sustain, and enhance partnerships is required.

• Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively and effectively with others to set objectives, resolve issues, and make decisions.

• Skill in identifying needs and taking independent actions to drive change is essential.

• Proficiency in planning, organizing, managing time, and prioritizing multiple tasks and assignments is necessary.

• Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills are a must.

• Ability to provide case and care management in both routine and crisis scenarios is essential.
