Therapist, Med-Psych Management Program

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada.

📋 Description

• Conduct biopsychosocial assessments, individual therapy sessions, and group therapy.

• Provide evidence-based teletherapy for members facing MPMP and co-occurring conditions, utilizing CBT, DBT skills, Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-informed care approaches.

• Implement validated clinical assessments during monthly review intervals to evaluate acuity and monitor progress.

• Adapt treatment plans and engagement frequency dynamically based on the readiness and clinical needs of members.

• Collaborate with an integrated care team to address medical, behavioral, and health-related social needs.

• Perform real-time risk assessments, safety planning, and crisis stabilization for high-acuity member situations.

• Ensure completion of detailed clinical documentation in DAP format within 24 hours of service delivery, adhering to Medicaid standards.

• Leverage video, secure messaging, and digital wellness content for ongoing member outreach and engagement.

• Participate in clinical team huddles, maintain population registry data, and monitor panel metrics.

• Involve family members, caregivers, and community-based organizations to foster support networks.

• Utilize screenings such as M3, PHQ-9, and GAD-7, and manage intake referrals.

• Provide patient-centered, culturally competent, measurement-based care.

• Inform clients about resources and community programs, and make clinically appropriate referrals.

• Create, manage, and revise treatment plans as needed.

• Safeguard confidential patient records, reports, paperwork, and diagnostic records within the employer’s EMR system.

• Process charges for professional services on a daily basis.

• Offer coverage for colleagues during their absences when clinically suitable.

• Mentor and/or assist new therapists as necessary.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related behavioral health discipline from an accredited institution.

• A current independent behavioral health license issued by the Nevada Department of Health (NV DOH).

• Eligible licenses include Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Clinical Professional Counselor (CPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• Minimum of two years of direct experience working with adults in the behavioral health sector.

• Experience with severe mental illness is required.

• Familiarity with local resources, social determinants of health, mental health issues, substance use disorders, interpersonal violence, and social challenges.

• Knowledge of Medicare or Medicaid practices is preferred.

• Capability to train, develop, and coach team members effectively.

• Skill in developing and sustaining internal and external partnerships.

• Ability to collaborate effectively in setting goals, resolving issues, and making decisions.

• Proficiency in identifying needs and independently implementing changes.

• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage time, prioritize multiple tasks, and follow through.

• Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication abilities.

• Competence in providing case/care management in both routine and crisis scenarios.
