Therapist, Interpersonal Violence Reduction Program

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada.

📋 Description

• Conduct biopsychosocial assessments, provide individual therapy, and facilitate group therapy sessions.

• Offer evidence-based teletherapy for individuals and groups utilizing CBT, DBT skills, Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-informed approaches.

• Perform validated clinical assessments during monthly reviews to evaluate acuity and monitor progress.

• Adapt treatment plans and engagement frequency dynamically based on the clinical needs and readiness of members.

• Collaborate with an integrated care team to coordinate medical, behavioral, and Health-Related Social Needs care.

• Execute real-time risk assessments, safety planning, and crisis stabilization for high-acuity incidents.

• Complete thorough clinical documentation in DAP format within 24 hours of service delivery, adhering to Medicaid standards.

• Engage members and outreach through video, secure messaging, and digital wellness content.

• Participate in clinical team huddles, maintain population registry data, and monitor panel metrics.

• Collaborate with family members, caregivers, and community organizations.

• Provide culturally competent, measurement-based behavioral health services.

• Conduct screenings including M3, PHQ-9, and GAD-7, and manage intake referrals.

• Inform clients about available resources and community programs, and refer them to additional services as needed.

• Create, manage, and revise treatment plans.

• Safeguard confidential patient records, reports, paperwork, diagnostic documents, clinical notes, and EMR records.

• Submit charges for professional services on a daily basis.

• Offer clinically appropriate coverage for colleagues who are absent.

• Mentor and support new therapists as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related behavioral health field from an accredited institution.

• Current independent behavioral health license from the Nevada Department of Health (NV DOH).

• Eligible licenses include Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Clinical Professional Counselor (CPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A minimum of two years of direct experience working with adults in the behavioral health sector.

• Experience in dealing with severe mental illness.

• Understanding of local resources, social determinants of health, mental health issues, substance use disorders, interpersonal violence, and social challenges.

• Familiarity with Medicare or Medicaid practices is preferred.

• Capability to provide case/care management in both routine and crisis scenarios.

• Proficiency in training, developing, and coaching team members.

• Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with others.

• Skill in identifying needs and taking independent initiative to implement changes.

• Strong organizational skills, time management, ability to prioritize multiple tasks, and follow-through.

• Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication abilities.
