Therapist, Interpersonal Violence Reduction Program

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada.

📋 Description

• Deliver exceptional individual and group teletherapy services to patients within the Interpersonal Violence Reduction Program and those with co-occurring conditions.

• Perform biopsychosocial assessments and implement evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT skills, Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-informed care.

• Execute validated clinical assessments during monthly evaluations to assess acuity, monitor progress, and modify treatment plans and engagement frequency as necessary.

• Serve as the clinical lead within an integrated care team, coordinating medical, behavioral, and health-related social needs.

• Conduct real-time risk evaluations, safety planning, and crisis stabilization for high-acuity situations.

• Complete comprehensive DAP-format clinical documentation and ensure records are maintained in the EMR within 24 hours post-service.

• Utilize video, secure messaging, and digital wellness content to enhance persistent engagement with members.

• Participate in clinical huddles, maintain population registry data, and monitor panel metrics.

• Involve family members, caregivers, and community organizations to create supportive networks.

• Manage intake referrals and employ screenings such as M3, PHQ-9, and GAD-7.

• Develop, oversee, and revise treatment plans as needed.

• Inform clients about resources and community programs, referring them to additional services when appropriate.

• Daily submit charges for professional services rendered.

• Provide coverage for colleagues during their absences when clinically suitable.

• Mentor or support new therapists as necessary.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or a relevant behavioral health discipline from an accredited institution.

• Current independent behavioral health license from the Nevada Department of Health (NV DOH).

• Eligible licenses include Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Clinical Professional Counselor (CPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A minimum of two years of direct experience working with adults in the behavioral health sector.

• Experience in managing severe mental illness cases.

• Familiarity with local resources, social determinants of health, mental health, substance use disorders, interpersonal violence, and associated social issues.

• Preference for candidates with knowledge of Medicare or Medicaid practices.

• Proficient in delivering individual and group teletherapy using CBT, DBT skills, Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-informed care.

• Skilled in administering clinical assessments including M3, PHQ-9, and GAD-7.

• Capable of conducting risk assessments, safety planning, and crisis stabilization.

• Knowledgeable in DAP-format clinical documentation and electronic medical records.

• Ability to complete clinical documentation within 24 hours and submit daily charges.

• Competent in providing case/care management in both routine and crisis situations.

• Aptitude for training, developing, and coaching fellow team members.

• Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.

• Strong ability to plan, organize, manage time effectively, prioritize multiple tasks, and ensure follow-through.
