This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Oversee and direct business development within key customer accounts.
• Establish and nurture long-term relationships with customers across the glaucoma and dry eye disease sectors.
• Foster connections with current clients while increasing awareness and utilization of AbbVie Vision Care products.
• Manage sales activities at both customer and hospital levels in line with approved marketing strategies and company policies.
• Achieve or surpass sales objectives for the designated territory.
• Serve as the customer expert and manager of AbbVie's commercial relations with External Experts.
• Maintain a broad perspective on customer relationships and collaborate across functions to optimize sales outcomes.
• Ensure that internal team members comprehend and implement customer strategies and sales expectations.
• Recognize opportunities to jointly develop solutions within Key Accounts.
• Identify and address challenges to effective customer interactions.
• Advocate for customer issues, concerns, and priorities within AbbVie.
• Build relationships within Key Account organizations and understand their priorities, structure, and business landscape.
• Establish trustworthy relationships with Key Accounts to enhance market share in Glaucoma and Dry Eye Disease.
• Formulate account-specific strategies and comprehensive strategic business plans.
• Work in conjunction with the AbbVie Medical team and the AbbVie Institute’s Clinical Specialist.
• Conduct regular sales reviews, both internally and externally.
• Implement national marketing initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Identify opportunities for collaboration, growth, and new Key Accounts.
• Oversee the territory budget and allocate resources effectively.
• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Science, or a related field, or a combination of an MBA with relevant experience is required.
• At least 5 years of experience in Sales and/or Marketing or head office operations.
• Experience in Key Account Management is preferred.
• Proven experience in Pharmaceutical/Medical Sales is necessary.
• A comprehensive understanding of the institutional/Key Account healthcare sector is advantageous.
• Demonstrated success in achieving and/or exceeding business results.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
• Solid business acumen and self-motivated.
• Exhibits leadership qualities, along with strong listening and adaptability skills.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively across different functions within the organization.
• Capable of communicating effectively with senior leaders, both externally with customers and internally.
• The candidate must be fluent in English, both spoken and written.
• Highly collaborative with a focus on customer satisfaction.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
• Position requires availability for evening/weekend work, including overnight travel.
• Valid driver’s license and passport are necessary.
