This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee and direct business development efforts within key customer accounts.

• Act as AbbVie's representative to designated Key Accounts, fostering long-term relationships in the glaucoma and dry eye disease sectors.

• Enhance existing customer relationships while promoting the awareness and utilization of AbbVie Vision Care products in the designated territory.

• Administer sales strategies at both customer and hospital levels in alignment with approved marketing plans and company policies.

• Achieve or surpass sales objectives for the designated territory.

• Serve as the customer expert and manage AbbVie's commercial relationships with External Experts.

• Maintain a broad perspective on customer relationships and collaborate cross-functionally to optimize sales outcomes.

• Ensure that internal team members comprehend and execute the customer strategy and sales goals.

• Identify and co-create solutions with Key Accounts.

• Recognize obstacles to effective customer interactions and develop processes to address them.

• Advocate for customer needs within AbbVie by identifying relevant issues, concerns, and priorities.

• Foster deep engagements within Key Account organizations, gaining insights into their priorities, structures, and business environments.

• Build trust with Key Accounts and increase market share in Glaucoma and Dry Eye Disease.

• Formulate account-specific strategies that align with AbbVie's guidelines and values.

• Collaborate with AbbVie Medical teams and AbbVie Institute Clinical Specialist teams.

• Create strategic business plans aimed at enhancing market share.

• Perform regular sales reviews, both internally and externally, to assess territory performance.

• Implement national marketing initiatives alongside cross-functional teams.

• Identify collaboration and growth opportunities, as well as potential new Key Accounts.

• Manage the territory budget and allocate resources effectively.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Science, or a related field, or an MBA with a combination of experience and education is required.

• At least 5 years of experience in Sales, Marketing, or head office operations is necessary.

• Experience in Key Account Management is highly valued.

• Background in Pharmaceutical or Medical Sales is required.

• A comprehensive understanding of the institutional/Key Account healthcare sector is preferred.

• Proven track record of achieving and/or surpassing business outcomes.

• Strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities.

• Demonstrated business acumen and proactive initiative.

• Leadership skills, along with effective listening and adaptability.

• Excellent presentation and communication abilities.

• Established capability to communicate across various functions within the company.

• Proficiency in communicating with senior leaders both externally and internally.

• Fluency in English, both verbal and written.

• Highly collaborative with a focus on customer needs.

• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

• Availability for evening/weekend work, including overnight travel.

• A valid driver’s license and passport are required.

• This position is based in Edmonton or Calgary.

• Ability to think strategically in order to develop a high-quality territory plan.

• Sound business judgment and an executive leadership perspective.

• Capacity to anticipate contingent outcomes from customer and competitive viewpoints.

• Strong analytical skills.

• Capability to communicate and collaborate with field team members to create and enhance integrated account plans.
