This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Become a part of AbbVie Canada's commercial sales team focused on Gynecology & Gastroenterology.
• Serve the Alberta and Manitoba regions, with a base in either Edmonton or Calgary.
• Engage with gynecologists who treat Endometriosis and Uterine Fibroids.
• Connect with gastroenterologists managing Chronic Idiopathic Constipation, Functional Constipation, and IBS-C.
• Create and implement business/account plans while executing brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance goals, brand KPIs, financial objectives, and marketing targets.
• Formulate pre-call strategies and carry out post-call assessments.
• Address objections and concerns during both in-person and virtual sales meetings.
• Address stakeholder needs and cultivate trustworthy relationships with customers.
• Implement call strategies, enhance key-customer coverage, and optimize sales opportunities.
• Acquire insights into customer needs, the territory landscape, competitors, market dynamics, accounts, diseases, products, and clinical information.
• Relay market intelligence to the district manager and team members.
• Differentiate AbbVie's unique value proposition to healthcare providers.
• Identify, nurture, and sustain relationships with disease-state experts, speakers, and advocates.
• Collaborate within a cross-functional matrix team that includes medical, market access, government affairs, health education, marketing, trade relations, patient engagement, and AbbVie Care teams.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Science, Commerce, or a related field.
• At least three to five years of experience in a Specialty Sales role within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Prior experience in Gynecology is preferred.
• Experience in Gastroenterology is considered an asset.
• Established relationships with current HCP targets are advantageous.
• Experience in physician/account-based selling, CHE / OLA / training, managed healthcare, or marketing is preferred.
• Demonstrated sales success and strong presentation skills in both face-to-face and virtual settings.
• Familiarity with IntelAgree, DEVO, CTE/Concur, or Veeva is a plus.
• Strong ability to proactively understand customer style/behavior and swiftly adapt the sales approach.
• Comprehensive knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive aspects.
• Robust business acumen and proficiency in using business tools.
• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.
• Ability to function effectively within a matrix environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
• Competency in Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Veeva Engage/CLM.
• This position may require evening/weekend work occasionally, including overnight travel.
• Anticipated travel within the territory is 50%.
• Valid driver's license and passport are required.
• Ability to think strategically and develop a comprehensive territory plan.
• Sound business judgment and an executive leadership mindset are essential.
• Ability to foresee potential outcomes from customer and competitive viewpoints.
• Strong analytical skills are necessary.
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with in-field team members.
