This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide assistance to developers in assessing software created for Veterans Affairs.
• Collaborate in the creation of test plans that include test cases derived from user stories.
• Produce test data through manual methods.
• Carry out test cases to assess software functionality.
• Record and document test outcomes.
• Report defects to the development team.
• Contribute to software enhancement initiatives.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or possess authorization to work in the United States.
• Must reside in the U.S. and have held a permanent residence in the country for a minimum of the past 3 consecutive years (36 months).
• Selected candidates will undergo a security investigation and may be required to fulfill eligibility criteria for access to classified information.
• Proficient in test methodologies, quality assurance processes, and the software release cycle.
• Familiarity with release protocols and software defect tracking systems.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
• Capability to implement suitable testing methodologies, including the development of test plans and test cases.
• Experience using JIRA.
• Proficient in Selenium.
• Background in an Agile work environment.
• Knowledge of operating systems and networking.
• Willingness to support extended core hours on a rotating schedule, Monday–Saturday, 6:00 AM–10:00 PM ET, and Sunday, 6:00 AM–3:00 PM ET, excluding holidays.
