Tester, Testmanager – IT-Services, Anwendungen (M/W/D) mit Erfahrung im öffentlichen Umfeld

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Planning, management, coordination, and execution of testing activities for IT services and applications throughout the entire testing lifecycle.

• Development and maintenance of testing strategies, concepts, plans, and cases based on business and technical requirements.

• Design, implementation, and enhancement of automated testing processes for desktop, web, and potentially API-based applications.

• Execution of both manual and automated functional tests, integration tests, system tests, regression tests, and acceptance tests.

• Integration and management of automated test cases in testing management and automation tools, such as OpenText ALM / Quality Center.

• Analysis, documentation, prioritization, and tracking of defects, as well as coordination with development and operations teams until resolution.

• Creation of test reports, quality metrics, and management reports, alongside evaluation of test results and derivation of action recommendations.

• Ensuring compliance with defined quality standards, testing processes, and methodologies in line with the software development lifecycle requirements.

• Coordination of testing activities with project management, business units, development, operations, and external service providers.

• Support during release, rollout, and acceptance testing, as well as assistance during production implementation.

• Participation in the optimization of testing processes, testing tools, and automation strategies.

• Ensuring adherence to security, data protection, and compliance requirements.

• Creation and maintenance of testing-related documentation and conducting lessons learned sessions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in planning, managing, coordinating, and executing software tests within complex IT systems and project landscapes.

• Comprehensive knowledge in creating testing strategies, concepts, plans, cases, and test and quality reporting.

• Proven experience in test automation for desktop and web applications using Selenium or OpenText UFT.

• Strong knowledge in integrating and managing automated test cases in OpenText ALM / Quality Center.

• Experience in analyzing, documenting, prioritizing, and tracking defects, as well as evaluating and communicating test results.

• Documented project experience in IT initiatives with heightened security requirements, particularly in governmental, banking, defense, or similarly regulated environments.

• Solid understanding of common testing methods, testing processes, and quality management procedures throughout the software development and testing lifecycle.

• Verified certification in software testing, such as ISTQB® Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) or a higher ISTQB certification.

• Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary project teams, as well as with development, business units, and project management.

• Complete application documents including a cover letter, resume, and references.
