Test Manager, Professional Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Define and oversee comprehensive test strategies for customer implementations.

• Establish testing frameworks, methodologies, standards, tools, and best practices.

• Develop risk-based testing methodologies aligned with customer objectives and compliance mandates.

• Ensure traceability among requirements, risks, test cases, defects, and validation evidence.

• Assist delivery teams in formulating test plans for functional, integration, system, user acceptance, performance, and regression testing.

• Monitor testing progress and relay quality status updates to stakeholders.

• Advise customers and partners on best practices for test management.

• Aid customers in designing and implementing effective test management processes.

• Provide guidance to customers on validation approaches for regulated and safety-critical environments.

• Support customer adoption of quality engineering and continuous testing methodologies.

• Establish defect management protocols and reporting standards.

• Facilitate defect triage and prioritization processes.

• Track quality metrics and project risks throughout the implementation phase.

• Recommend strategies to mitigate risks and enhance product and project quality.

• Contribute to the development of test service offerings, accelerators, and best practices.

• Document lessons learned from customer engagements to improve future delivery approaches.

• Support field readiness initiatives and enhance cross-functional quality improvement efforts.

• Act as a quality advisor during critical customer scenarios and escalations.

• Assist with root cause analysis and corrective action planning.

• Collaborate with engineering, support, and delivery teams to resolve complex quality challenges.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• At least 5 years of professional experience in test management, quality assurance, or a related role.

• Strong comprehension of software testing methodologies and quality assurance practices.

• Experience with requirements management, traceability, and validation processes.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Proven skills in stakeholder management and communication.

• Strong presentation and facilitation abilities.

• Capacity to work effectively with customers, partners, and cross-functional teams.

• Customer-centric mindset focused on achieving successful business outcomes.

• Preferred experience with at least one programming language (e.g., Java, C++, JavaScript).

• Preferred experience with at least one relational database technology (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL).

• Prior software consulting experience as a solution, technical, or application architect is preferred.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring current or future sponsorship from PTC.
