This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in testing TripWire, OBP’s secure information-sharing platform.
• Carry out and document tests for digital modernization, cloud integration, data migration, and automation under the supervision of senior technical staff.
• Create test cases and scripts based on operational requirements, Key Performance Parameters, and approved acceptance criteria.
• Conduct tests to verify technical performance, operational effectiveness, and suitability throughout the application lifecycle.
• Support Developmental and Operational Testing in accordance with applicable DHS testing procedures.
• Test web interfaces, API integrations, SaaS and cloud services, ensuring compatibility with enterprise platforms.
• Verify authentication, external-user validation, access controls, and controlled information-upload workflows.
• Validate data migrations, data pipeline outputs, data-quality routines, and reporting or visualization functions.
• Document defects and reproducible test evidence; coordinate retesting after corrective actions.
• Ensure traceability to requirements is maintained.
• Assist in developing repeatable test scripts and automated testing as part of approved CI/CD workflows.
• Compile test summaries and support the reporting of conclusions, outstanding risks, and recommendations for Government acceptance.
• Maintain version-controlled test documentation.
• Contribute to quality assurance, release readiness, and migration validation efforts.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in software testing or quality assurance.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Proven experience executing test cases, documenting results and defects, and verifying fixes for web applications or cloud-hosted services.
• Working knowledge of functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing methodologies.
• Understanding of requirements traceability.
• Familiarity with API testing, test scripting or automation, issue tracking, and version control tools.
• Ability to adhere to test procedures, safeguard sensitive information, and communicate effectively with developers and technical leads.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must successfully complete the required DHS/CISA OBP Public Trust background investigation.
• Must obtain and maintain a favorable DHS suitability/fitness determination (Public Trust).
• Must maintain necessary system access.
• Must obtain and uphold DHS CISA OBP Government Public Trust background investigation, system access, nondisclosure, and sensitive-information protection requirements.
• ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) certification is preferred.
