Test Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Create detailed test strategies and plans to ensure extensive functional coverage.

• Serve as a quality gatekeeper to uphold high standards before all software releases.

• Evaluate business requirements and user stories to confirm they are complete and testable.

• Provide precise testing estimations and synchronize activities with delivery timelines.

• Conduct manual tests and carry out comprehensive functional, integration, and regression testing.

• Discover, log, and monitor software defects with clear reproducible steps and supporting evidence.

• Validate defect fixes before production release and conduct thorough retesting.

• Proactively identify testing risks and escalate critical issues promptly.

• Work closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers.

• Join daily stand-up meetings to communicate progress, blockers, and testing status.

• Keep clear and accurate test documentation, test cases, and regression suites.

• Assist in user acceptance testing activities and support stakeholders as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 3 years of commercial experience as a Software Test Analyst or QA Analyst.

• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, processes, and best practices.

• Demonstrated ability to analyze business requirements and convert them into test scenarios.

• Significant experience in defect identification, documentation, tracking, and retesting.

• Practical experience in Agile software development environments.

• Intermediate proficiency using JIRA or a similar defect management system.

• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and detailed documentation skills.

• Previous experience testing financial services, banking, lending, or FinTech applications.

• Experience with API testing using tools such as Postman.

• Familiarity with test automation frameworks or automated testing tools.

• Basic to intermediate SQL querying skills for data validation.

• ISTQB Foundation Certificate or an equivalent testing qualification.

• Knowledge of security testing concepts, data privacy, or AI tools.
