Junior Quality Assurance Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Conduct functional testing and automate tests for backend systems and POS devices

• Carry out acceptance, integration, and contract testing

• Utilize performance testing tools like JMeter and Locust

• Collaborate with CI/CD processes and manage build, deployment, and testing pipelines

• Implement mocks for API validation

• Leverage knowledge of databases, version control, and various testing methodologies

• Organize tasks using Jira, Trello, and Xray

• Oversee systems, analyze logs and metrics, emphasizing observability and system health

• Suggest enhancements to processes and quality solutions

⛳️ Requirements

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban

• Proven experience in functional testing and test automation for backend applications and POS devices

• Understanding of acceptance, integration, and contract testing, including tools like PactFlow

• Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter and Locust

• Experience with CI/CD processes and managing build, deployment, and testing pipelines

• Strong organizational capabilities and the ability to recommend process improvements

• Experience in using mocks for API validation

• Knowledge of databases, especially SQL Server, and version control with Git

• Comprehension of programming logic and various testing techniques

• Familiarity with project management tools like Jira and Trello, along with test management tools like Xray

• Awareness of observability, focusing on monitoring and analyzing logs and metrics to ensure system health, using tools like DataDog and Splunk

• Preferred: Experience with Kotlin and/or Robot Framework
