This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Conducts research to gain insights into territory dynamics, emphasizing prospecting and growth opportunities to create an effective business plan and sales strategy, while understanding the competitive environment and assessing competitors' products to strategically position IDT solutions for successful sales.
• Develops and manages assigned accounts to provide solutions that drive revenue growth, while also establishing and nurturing strategic partnerships with key customers and utilizing internal resources as needed to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.
• Maintains consistent communication with customers and potential clients, which includes scheduling sales calls and travel itineraries to address customer needs and execute sales strategies through timely follow-ups, ensuring detailed notes are recorded within current CRM tools, and educating customers with up-to-date product sales information through technical presentations.
• Acquires in-depth knowledge of CRM and funnel management tools, applying these skills consistently for business forecasting, managing customer opportunities, building an opportunity pipeline, and making informed business decisions.
• Keeps accurate records and communications with the customer base using current CRM tools.
• Ensures regular and informative communication with team members, including cross-functional collaboration with Product Managers, Application Scientists, Inside Sales, and others.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Life Science field (biology, biochemistry, chemistry, etc.) or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in molecular and/or laboratory pathology sales and/or field-based customer support, preferably in molecular biology reagents, laboratory consumables, or capital equipment.
• A proven track record of achieving or surpassing sales targets.
• Must reside in California, with a preference for Southern California.
• Familiarity with existing academic, National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN), corporate, and government accounts within the region is essential.
