This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Take ownership of sales for the designated territory.
• Build and maintain relationships with store managers and retail staff to meet sales and long-term performance goals.
• Provide retail value through effective sales strategies, product displays, new merchandise, and core distribution efforts.
• Address issues related to out-of-stocks, inventory-to-shelf challenges, share of shelf, price compliance, and promotional selling.
• Collaborate with distributors and ensure comprehensive product knowledge through direct and phone communication.
• Drive additional volume through display sales and enhance support for promoted items.
• Promote surveys associated with displays.
• Identify and sell additional products based on market opportunities.
• Work alongside store-level and district-level retail operations teams to develop and implement business reviews that boost volume.
• Manage financial resources effectively.
• Ensure adherence to retail pricing standards.
• Report changes in competitive pricing and promotional support while resolving pricing discrepancies.
• Identify and rectify voids, ensuring the availability of new products.
• Merchandise products for schematic compliance, restock shelves, rotate products, manage unsaleable items, and address out-of-stock and void challenges.
• Sustain customer relationships with department and store-level staff to optimize sales outcomes.
• Relay retail market insights to management.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Psychology, or a related discipline is preferred.
• A minimum of two years of experience in retail sales, merchandising, or retail management with CPG products is preferred (but not mandatory).
• A valid driver's license in good standing is necessary.
• Exceptional customer service and organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Solid analytical skills.
• Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and other POS systems.
• Capability to analyze financial, inventory, retail conditions, and other data to apply suitable selling techniques.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting tight deadlines.
• Willingness and ability to travel as required.
