This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Drive profitable sales within a specified geographic region by managing and nurturing customer relationships, with a focus on major and targeted accounts.
• Investigate and address customer issues and complaints effectively.
• Identify and inform potential customers about the company's functions and capabilities.
• Track and report on industry trends to management.
• Recognize key purchasing influences and build relationships with current and prospective customers.
• Create a market strategy for the territory that includes measurable goals, objectives, action plans, and progress indicators.
• Support inside sales with specific accounts and/or projects as needed.
• Provide necessary assistance to credit managers.
• Schedule and conduct sales calls and/or visits.
• Estimate customer product usage and participation from business units.
• Deliver training on products and services for customers and business unit staff.
• Monitor pricing deviations in transactions and report notable trends and occurrences to management.
• Relay customer product and quality requirements to inside sales and operations teams.
• Suggest additions or removals to the product catalog and company services.
• Initiate and oversee E-item inventory needs.
• Propose current and potential advertising strategies.
• Continuously enhance knowledge of company products, services, and procedures.
• Maintain and refresh the customer database regularly.
• Download, evaluate, and follow up on quotes each day.
• Review daily customer sales for thank-you outreach and order evaluations.
• Associate degree or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in public/customer interaction.
• At least 1 year of sales experience.
• A strong safety mindset.
• Completion of or progress towards a bachelor's degree in sales, business, or marketing (preferred).
• 3-5 years of sales experience (preferred).
• Training and/or experience in metallurgy (preferred).
• Experience in public speaking (preferred).
• Proficiency in general computer skills (preferred).
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening, which may include testing for marijuana.
• Capability to work directly with or around motor vehicle equipment.
