
Territory Sales Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +5 more states.
• Take responsibility for the annual sales territory of SPT Labtech's liquid handling portfolio in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Eastern Canada, and Massachusetts (excluding designated separately covered areas).
• Promote and advance the market for liquid handling and sample management products targeting genomics, protein crystallization, and drug discovery sectors.
• Oversee all pre-sale activities through to purchase orders and assist with post-sale processes.
• Generate outbound leads, conduct product demonstrations, participate in trade shows and conferences, and engage with local automation and liquid handling groups.
• Collaborate with sales specialists, applications, marketing, support, and product management teams.
• Create and manage the sales pipeline and customer database utilizing measurable objectives.
• Identify and pursue opportunities across product lines while working with product specialists.
• Establish consultative relationships with customers and serve as a trusted advisor.
• Integrate SPT solutions into end-user workflows and communicate the benefits of these solutions using available communication tools.
• Cross-sell SPT Labtech's product offerings and recommend comprehensive solutions.
• Maintain application knowledge through training, binomial tours, and e-learning.
• Manage CRM data effectively.
• Develop and maintain relationships with library prep chemistry partners outside of SPT Labtech.
• Ideally based in the Greater Boston area, with a well-established network throughout New England.
• 5+ years of experience in capital equipment sales specifically in the life sciences market.
• Proven experience in selling automated liquid handling technologies or a strong understanding of lab automation solutions.
• An undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification in a life science discipline, or relevant experience/qualification.
• A background in genomics or protein crystallography is a plus.
• Attributes such as drive, tenacity, resilience, a growth mindset, curiosity, confidence, humility, and accountability are essential.
• Comfortable managing a sales territory and working independently.
• Willingness to travel extensively, up to 50%, across the region.
• Reside near a convenient travel hub.
• Familiarity with CRM systems is required; experience with Salesforce is preferred.
• Demonstrated success and capability to develop business opportunities.
• Proficient in delivering both formal and informal product presentations to various audiences, including physicians, research associates, purchasing groups, lab managers, and executives.
