This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +13 more states.
• Promote and sell the portfolio of Oxford Instruments within designated markets and accounts, consistently achieving or surpassing sales objectives.
• Act as the main contact for both current and potential customers, as well as relevant OEM/channel partners throughout the sales cycle.
• Identify, qualify, and oversee sales leads and new customer accounts.
• Engage in prospecting through online platforms, industry associations, and resources from funding agencies.
• Formulate and implement sales strategies, identify opportunities, close sales, and meet targets.
• Track the sales funnel while ensuring a sufficient number of opportunities to achieve goals.
• Cultivate and sustain customer relationships within the designated territory.
• Develop effective relationships with OEM partners, aligning them with the company's objectives.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market changes.
• Maintain precise sales forecasts and update CRM systems on a daily basis.
• Organize workshops, customer events, demonstrations, training, and technical support in collaboration with application specialists and regional marketing.
• Work closely with application specialists, service teams, and engineering/product management to provide customized solutions, installations, and customer training.
• Travel frequently for client meetings, trade shows, and installations while managing travel expenses.
• Utilize consultative and value-based selling techniques to enhance customer satisfaction and reduce discounting.
• A bachelor's degree in Materials Sciences, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field is preferred.
• 3–5 years of sales experience within the scientific sector.
• Extensive knowledge of relevant technologies, customers, and markets.
• Willingness to travel 50% of the time, including occasional international trips.
• Experience with Raman and AFM is highly preferred.
• Strong background in technical sales, encompassing relationship building and comprehensive customer interaction across various departments and functions.
• Possess a professional network and toolkit that enables immediate results.
• Significant experience with CRM systems, preferably SAP CRM.
• Proficient in delivering sales presentations and articulating technical information clearly.
• Results-driven, capable of working autonomously with a strong sense of urgency.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team setting.
• Excellent collaboration skills, with the capacity to adhere to prescribed processes and gain support from colleagues and internal stakeholders.
• Highly organized, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Outstanding communication abilities in verbal, PowerPoint, Excel, and other formats.
• Willingness and capacity to travel both domestically and internationally as needed, subject to standard visa requirements.
• Capability to establish effective working relationships both internally and externally.
